After watching a movie this afternoon, all I could think of for the rest of the day was this:

I'm thinking that it's been a very long time since I've cleaned the dust off of my Bionicle collection. (The sets are in their containers to keep the dust off, but the containers themselves still get dusty.) I'll have to set aside a lot of time this week to wipe off all that dust.

I'm thinking about today, July 20th, which I find to be a rather notable day of the year. First thing that comes to mind is the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. Of personal significance to me, it is also the day the Bionicle forum, BZPower, was started back in 2001, which makes this year its 12th anniversary. There are other things this day is known for, both historical and personal, but those are the two big reasons why I find this particular day to be so significant.

Over here the 20th of July is a fixed term in historical perception. On July 20th 1944 there was the failed assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler by Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg.
July 21st (today) I would think of the battle of Bull Run / Manassas in 1861, the first major battle of the US Civil War.

I'm currently thinking about my father trying to clarify the risks of having a relationship with, well, younger people of the opposite gender...
I met a 12 year old girl today (he immadiately thought of the worst case.. hey! we're just friends, got it?) We talked a bit, got to know each other a bit and.. well you know, just acted like just-friends would.
My father told me I, technically, could end in the jail if there would go something wrong with having sex (I honestly would never even think about having sex with a 12yrs old girl

) because she's underaged.
I don't have a crush on her, she was just nice and seemed like the right sort of person to befriend with.

If there are further 'admonitions' I might start a discussion thread about this topic or perhabs there's one existing???

PS: I'll see her tomorrow.. so there might be some more on this topic..

Well just be careful that you don't over step your boundaries. And do take that step that can get in in a lot of trouble. I'm thinking about tomorrow since I have work and the gym tomorrow. And trying to not be a mean jerk towards people.

About the show "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" and how much I enjoyed it as a kid.

The entire series is coming out in October on DVD... I'd forgotten about this awesome show for awhile, but I think it may be time to revisit it in the fall.

I'm thinking about what's been going on right next door to my house these last few days (Actually, that lot is diagonally next to the one for my house, but that's still close enough to see out my window).

It's not every day you get to see an old house get torn down, especially one right in your own neighborhood. First, they apparently used a backhoe as a sort-of wreaking ball. SMASH! CRASH! CRUSH! SMASH! The entire house was demolished in just over an hour, and I couldn't help but watch the whole thing. Everything was just trashed and dropped into some dumpsters. That was two days ago. The last two days, there was occasionally a loud BANG! BANG! BANG! (loud enough that I could actually feel the vibration), which I've recently determined was that same backhoe smashing the concrete foundation so it could be dug up and dropped into a dump truck.

I'm assuming what's going on over there is that someone recently bought the property and decided to get rid of the old house and build a new one. (Understandable, considering it was a rather old and small house compared to the rest of the neighborhood.)

Actually, I've been thinking about many things.

First and foremost is how weird it is that I started playing a game based solely on pornographic art of the game.

Second is how weird said art is.

And lastly is why is it that we as humans like said art.
