I like the idea that the exact reason why Rob changes is ambiguous instead of the reason known.

As for closure withe Redclaw maybe she can help fix/heal his eyes or one of his eyes or something. Maybe using herbs, leaves or something.

Glad to have you back in the rp.

I don't recall if Flapper is with the group or not, if not I may say he was trailing the group or something.

As far the closure thing, healing him would defeat the purpose of this plot, the battle, the revenge, everything. And plus that blindness isn't exactly the easiest thing to heal.

Even in the world of LBT it's not magically healed.

Since Rob is going to turn into a fast biter permanently, I thought of something interesting, as a side plot of some sorts.

Let's say once Rob becomes a fast biter, the herd turns against him. They deem him a threat to everybody and try to get rid of him from the herd, in particular Mr. Threehorn. The other newcomers as well as Littlefoot and the gang all try to convince otherwise and maybe Pterano argues to keep him in (or Grandpa Longneck since he seems to be the voice of reason). So instead of kicking him out of the herd, Rob is isolated from everybody, put some place where the grown ups can keep tabs on him like a prisoner. Some of the newcomers and Littlefoot/Zaine/other children sneak past the grown ups to see Rob and break him out and try to prove that even in his new transformed state he is still good.

It sounds crazy, yes, but I thought it would be interesting. What do you guys think?

We definitely have quite a bit of subplots in this rpg.

Well, I think that's pretty realistic, I mean, I would be pretty freaked out too if a creature was able to morph into another species and I would find it hard to believe if someone said "It's really me, I just transformed into another species."

Pterano I had planned to be a little away from what was going on. I'll post it in the rp, but anyhow like that idea so far, though again I worry that we might have too many subplots going on at once.

The various sub plots may conclude themselves over time. Some faster then others.

I understand your concern Amy, and like Kor said some of the sub plots may end in the near future.

I'm not saying we have to go through with it the moment the battle ends. I just threw it up for thought of something we could pursue later on.

You go with whatever feels right for you Amy, and we'll follow it

Just so everyone knows, the plan was that no fast biters should attack until Chronicler, Ruby, Claw, and Chomper try to negotiate with Thud (possibly Screech and even Red Claw as well) and talk them into returning Pangaea. Eventually Chomper accidentally translates something insulting, which angers Thud, causing him to attack, and the other fast biters mistake this for the signal to strike, and all heck breaks loose.

As long as I'm posting, here's an updated version of the list of planned events in the upcoming battle:

ï Rob fights Thud, but receives a minor bite injury which puts him out of action and causes him to permanently change into a fast biter. However, seeing Rob get hurt infuriates Anna to the point that she attacks Thud and knocks him out.

ï Longtail fights Screech and manages to free Pangaea. Screech is knocked out as well.

ï After fighting off a few fast biters, Chronicler, along with Ruby, scales a nearby cliff and begins throwing rocks at the fast biters. Eventually he, with some help from the gang, manages to cause a huge boulder to fall off the cliff, which hits Red Claw in the leg/foot, making him temporarily unable to stand.

ï At some point in the battle, Amy and Pterano arrive. Pterano may end up doing something heroic, which earns him some respect from the valley dinosaurs. Once all of the fast biters have been defeated or fled the scene, Amy attempts to converse with the incapacitated Red Claw (possibly using Chomper as a translator).

ï The group returns to the Great Valley, but some of the dinosaurs are now suspicious of Rob after watching him turn into a fast biter, and put him in isolation so that they can keep an eye on him.

ï Eventually, everyone goes to sleep for the night. (Blitz expressed interest in joining this RP once it is daytime again, so if he's still interested, then I think we should move to the next day as soon as possible once the action is over.)

If we get to a point where we are waiting for Chronicler to start negotiations, I could certainly have Rob attempt negotiations and take control of Chomper for that little bit.

Just so you know, I was thinking of waiting until Redclaw actually showed himself to the group before I had Chronicler explain his idea of trying to negotiate with him. At this point, I had thought of possibly not bothering to wait and just go for it, but I don't have the time to participate tonight. If you could go through with having Redclaw show himself by the time I'm ready to continue RPing tomorrow evening, I would appreciate that. Of course, we still need to hear from Myrkin before the negotiation can actually begin.

Looks like we're all ready to begin.

Here's what I was thinking on how the negotiation would work out. After convincing Mr. Threehorn to let Chronicler, Ruby, Chomper, and Claw go ahead with the negotiation, they begin speaking with Redclaw. First, they demand Pangaea's release, but that goes nowhere. Next, going with the idea of a compromise, Chronicler offers a trade: Pangaea's release for one of their own. Redclaw obviously wants Amy, but due to her absence, the deal is off. The two sides then start to argue. Eventually, Redclaw questions why he should listen to them, to which Chronicler makes a few statements, including unintentionally calling Redclaw "inferior". Chomper, too young to know the meaning of that word, mistakenly translates it, causing Redclaw to be insulted and order the attack to begin.

How does this sound?
