"Oh, no, no, no," Ducky said, her hands going to her face as she shook her head in fear, "Then something bad may happen soon.  I hope it does not." She said.

"Those sharpteeth mean." Petrie said, gritting his beak and with a pretend mean look on his face for a brief moment then dropping it, "Me hope things go ok." He said.

Hearing what the others were saying Spike moved slightly so he could see what was going on also and nodded his head to what the others had said.
(OOC: Hey Kor, why are you playing Ducky and Spike? Ducky is supposed to be played by CT and Spike is played by GVG, unless you had some agreement with them what you were going to play them? If so someone needs to say it on the discussion board so there is no confusion.)

(^ OOC: No one's angry with you, Kor. It was an honest absentminded mistake. And Petrie's still your character; there's nothing that should keep you from continuing to play him. :))

As if he wasn’t frightened enough already, Pangaea was beginning to panic. Clearly the negotiation attempt wasn’t going well: the fast biters apparently weren’t agreeing to anything, Chronicler was throwing a fit, and now Rob was getting involved. Disagreementsóespecially ones that involved yellingóupset Pangaea, and being at the center of this increasingly stressful situation was taking its toll on him. His breathing was heavy and rapid, he was shaking so much that even the teeth in his beaklike mouth were chattering, and if he’d had sweat glands, he would have been soaking wet even without the rain. Worse still, he had no way of calming himself down: he had nothing to take his mind off the situation; he couldn’t pace; he didn’t even have his pet cat, Sasquatch, to stroke or cuddle to help him calm his nerves.

Desperate to ease his anxiety, Pangaea tried to squeeze his restrained arms closer together, hoping to get his hands into a position that would allow him to wring  and intermesh his fingers. This backfired, however, as Screech mistook Pangaea’s struggles as an attempt to get free, and tightened his grip like a vice.

Will you hold still, you mangy clump?!” Screech roared down at Pangaea. He swung his head around to face Thud. Even though he knew that they were supposed to be distracting the leafeaters, he had had enough of this. “Why are we even bothering with these idiot negotiations?! We’re talking to our food, for crying out loud!

Claw frowned at Chronicler, but he tried to keep his self-control. This situation was bad enough without them yelling at each other.

"Well... We could offer them, that we will look for Amy, if they promise not to harm Pangea. If we won't find her, then we will still have more time to think what to do to rescue our friend," Claw said, then he looked briefly at Screech and Thud and turned to Chronicler again.

"There is also a second option. We could attack these fastbiters here and now. There is only two of them and four of us. If we strike now, they will drop Pangea to defend themselves, then we grab Pangea and make quick retreat to the rest of our group," he didn't whisper that plan, since Screech and Thud couldn't understand flatteeth and lowering his voice would make them suspicious "Don't translate that, Chomper."

"I wasn't going to," little sharptooth said "But do you think we are able to free Pangea on our own?"

Rick was crouched on his knees and looking down the rest of the group. Worry was plain on his face as he quietly spoke. "This... isn't going to end well... and trust me. I'm rarely wrong about these things..."

Longtail who was holding on the side of a rock could see down as well and for some unknown almost primal reason, he couldn't take his eyes off of Screech. "If these negotiations fail... I know exactly who I'm going after first." he said at a whisper but loud enough for those in the group to hear.

Spike simply stood where he was trembling from the fact that anything could happen at any moment. He looked to Ducky and frowned indicating his unease.

~~~
Cyrix stood completely still, his face still holding that mask of utmost calm. He was indeed listening to the negotiations but his attention was more or less focused on the tension in the air, and it at this moment was at a breaking point. The only motion he made during this time was the flexing of his hands and claws as if only waiting for the moment to use them.
Grandma Longneck stood next to her mate and tried to keep as still as possible so as not to give any false alarms, all the while listening to the negotiations as well.
Mim picked up 3 stones & began to juggle them so she would have something to do rather then just standing around doing nothing.   Also she would have 3 rocks she could throw if she needed to on short notice, she thought to herself.
Flapper saw a rock and went over to it to sit down figuring that he had nothing else to do but wait so he may as well sit and rest as well as doing open eye meditation and wait till whatever was going to happen would happen, being sure to keep his club handy.
John had heard Claw's plan and walked over to where he and Chronicler were.
 " I would say the former is the better option seeing as we can avoid any sort of violent conflict but in this case,Screech and Thud may have little patience, so we may have to fight them. After all we outnumber them like you said, Claw" he explained.
--------
"I don't think it will be a good idea,Longtail" Ali said before looking back down at the rescue party.
"We can't fight them, they are holding Pangaea very tightly," stated Ruby. "If we get any closer to them, they might kill him."
"An excellent point, Ruby!" agreed Chronicler, although he was still clearly irritated.
Chomper then heard what Screech had said, so he said, "I think we should do something very soon. Screech said he's getting tired of these talks, and I'm afraid they might walk away from this soon."
"That's it!" exclaimed Chronicler. "It's time I teach them a real lesson!" He turned to Chomper and said, "And I expect you to tell them everything."
Poor, naive Chomper had no choice but to agree with Chronicler's demand.
Ruby slowly backed up and told Claw and John, "I'm afraid we have reached a point of no return, a point of no return we have reached."
As Chronicler spoke his rant, he paused at every sentence to give Chomper a chance to translate all of it. "You have no idea who you're messing with! Me, that glider, these two guys right here and all the other newcomers, we're not really dinosaurs! All us newcomers are called humans, and we come from another universe. You wouldn't last a day in that universe! We humans used to have predators like you, but we've killed them all off! This stick right here is only the beginning of what we've been able to do. We've cleared forests, dammed rivers, and taken absolute control of every piece of land in the world! And if you think that isn't scary enough, we've even built things that can blow up the world many times over! That tells me something about how inferior you really are compared to us!"
Once Chronicler had finished his rant, Ruby was speechless. She was certain that everyone else was, too. She also couldn't help but get the feeling of impending doom once poor Chomper was finished translating that rant.
Anna flinched when she overheard Chronicler's words.  True as they were, she wasn't sure if that was the right time to get ugly with the enemy.  Still, she was not about to intervene.
--------------------------
With her sense of hearing, Ducky happened to pick up on what Chronicler had said.
"This cannot be good, oh no no no," she gasped.  She was scared for the grownups, but now something else bothered her.
Is that really true?  Are humans really all that bad?  Will they destroy us, too? , Ducky thought to herself as she held her feelings in.
John clenched his hands into fists as he listened to Chronicler's rant, he had always loathed the mojority of the human race,due to being a conservationist and buddhist,but he pulled himself together.
It seemed like Chronicler completely ignored what Rob was trying to say judging by his rant he had Chomper translate. Immediately he knew things were going to get real bad real quickly. He stepped a little closer towards Anna, knowing that the fast biters were around them. "Chronicler, I don't think that was a smart thing to say!" he called out. He started shifting into a defensive fighting stance, scanning the area around him. "This isn't good," he muttered to Anna. "Fast biters don't take insults very well. I think we reached the end of the negotiations."
Littlefoot was shocked when he heard Chronicler's rant. "You're right Ducky. This is terrible. Screech and Thud aren't going to react very friendly to that."
"Well we have to do something!" Zaine protested. "If they're going to start fighting, we should help!"
"We can't," Littlefoot responded. "Not yet. If we reveal ourselves now, we will only be a hindrance to the grown-ups. We have to find a way to help them without getting in the way."
Frustrated, Zaine continued to watch the events taking place, praying that the group would not be harmed. Rob, don't you dare get hurt down there.
Rick sighed aloud as he heard Chronicler ranting and asking Chomper to translate. "Now see... I was right... AGAIN!" he stated rather irritably.
Longtail's claws were now raking against the rock he was holding onto and he was gritting his teeth almost expecting the negotiations to fail and wanting it to happen. "Come on... give me a reason... make a single move out of line Screech... i dare you." he hissed aloud.
~~~

Cyrix continued to flex his claws as he stepped closer to Chronicler and the others in the negotiation also expecting the worst to happen and being prepared for it. However his face continued to show absolutly no emotion almost as if he were in a trance.

Anna felt her spine tingle in response to Rob's comment about the fastbiters.

"Well then, that leaves us with only one option," Anna replied as she took up a defensive stance and glanced around for fastbiters.

---------------------

"Hey, what are Anna and that human doing?" Cera asked, having noticed their stances.

Claw was listening to what Chronicler was sayin and he couldn't believe what he heard. All this rant was one big empty threat, as they had no human weapon Chronicler was mentioning. They had the herd of flatteeth, while Red Claw had fastbiters with him, so the sides were more or less even. If Screech and Thud call Chronicler on his bluff it won't end... Wait a moment. Did he just call these fastbiters "inferior"? At first, all Claw could do to comment on that was to do a slow facepalm...

"Chronicler... If I ever told you or suggested to you, that you would do great as a diplomat... Forget that, buddy." he said to fastrunner.

"Yeah, I think you took that a bit too far,Chronicler" John inquired before taking up a defensive stance.

Had Pangaea’s hands been free, he would have facepalmed with both of them. Oh, what a very, very, very, very BAD idea that was, he groaned inwardly. Nice going, Chronicler. Now, even if we don’t all get torn apart by fast biters, the Great Valley dinosaurs aren’t going to trust us anymore. Truth be told, Chronicler’s words angered Pangaea as well. Everything he had ever learned about ecology had influenced his view that no species was superior to another, and he hated it when humans declared themselves so. Yes, we wiped out our predators, changed our environment, and made the entire planet our territory…and now we’re suffering from overpopulation, screwing up our own environmental life support, using up all our resources, and basically instrumenting our own extinction. Superior, indeed.

Screech and Thud had at first appeared a bit taken aback by Chronicler’s outburst, but now they were simply glaring at him, eyes blazing with fury. Finally, Screech uttered a response:

You sound like a dangerous species in your world…” He and Thud clacked their sickle claws against the ground ominously. “…but we’re not in your world right now, are we?

"Are humans really like that?" Mim asked.

"Sadly the majority are.  They care not if they crush something under their foot nor if they break something that is not useful to them.  The minority can see how life is more interconnected that some call the life web and how a problem in one area effects other areas.  How the world is in a delicate balance that can be upset." Flapper said still in his open eyed meditation.

Amy heard growling in the distance as well as Tria. They completely were clueless on what was going on, but they knew something was obviously wrong.

Without any other words or so much as a glance to each other, Amy went on Tria's back and Tria rode into the rainy, dark night. She also heard her mate's call, obviously of rage and anger.
----------
Mr. Three Horn was in rage by what he heard, how dare and outsider, a...strange outsider say anything like that. Well, Mr. Three Horn was not going to take it and he stared at all of the other Great Valley members and he stated, "Everyone, stay strong, we came in this battle, to fight these sharpteeth and I will do it, for you, not for these stragglers!"

There was a murmor of agreement, yet reluctance among the crowd. Obviously there were dinosaurs that liked these "human-dinosaurs". Still, they were also threated and weary of the words they heard.

Mr. Three Horn and some other dinosaurs followed him and they charged through the trees see another sight coming their way, which made Mr. Three Horn and the others skid to a halt.
------------
A familiar low growl emerged from behind Screech and Thud. A massive, nasty scared head slowly revealed itself from the trees and he walked toward his comrades and towards the little biter as if in slow motion. While he could not see the white fast biter or anyone else, but he sure could tell that the tension in the air was reaking as much as underground water.

"You believe that we, sharpteeth are the most inferior species in the land? I must agree that these leaf chewers are completely fallible, but if you think you can outwit and call us this without so much proof, you are not by any means valuing your life!"

He roared almost demonically at the last sentence. He had enough of fast biters doing things that he could do in ten seconds flat. He was tired of being blind, being defeated, and being miscalculated. But now, he was ready to kill.

"FAST BITERS! SMITE THEM ALL!"

Anna felt herself become nauseated with anxiety when she saw fastbiters beginning to show themselves.

"Oh, good goin'.  Way to make the lot of us look bad," she grumbled as her anxiety turned to rage at what was happening around her.

"I assure you," Rob protested to Mr. Threehorn, "we aren't ALL like that." Unfortunately he didn't get much time to convince him otherwise. It finally started. The fast biters went on the assault, attacking the group from every direction. One came at Rob from his side, but Rob jumped and spin kicked it in the face. "We need to end this fast!" he yelled out. He kept dodging several fast biters as he turned and saw Thud. "Anna, cover me!" Rob then charged at Thud with all his might and flying side kicked towards him.

Littlefoot couldn't believe what he was seeing. The rescue party was completely outnumber by fast biters, and the fight had begun. "This is terrible," he muttered. "We can't go down there without getting hurt."

"We can't just stay up here and do nothing!" Zaine argued. "We have to help them!"

"It's too dangerous!" Littlefoot replied. "We'll find a way to help them, but we can't just run in there and expect to come out unharmed!"
