Here's my current stance on MLP:FiM.
Since November last year, I've been reading fanfics on fimfiction.net. Necessity made me become a member in February (the day after the season 3 finale) so I could use the "read later" feature and avoid having so many tabs open at all times. The number of fanfics on my read later list is now at over 500 (blame Civ V for not giving me enough time). In July, I started checking Equestria Daily on a regular basis. Yet, despite all of this, I still do not yet consider myself a true brony for one simple reason: I have not yet watched a single episode of this show.
Tomorrow, that is finally going to change.
Starting yesterday, Equestria Daily is doing a countdown of all 65 episodes in order of oldest to newest. Each page includes a YouTube video of it's particular episode. This opportunity means that not only I now don't have to search YouTube for each episode, but it will allow me to watch this series in order from first to latest, exactly the way I wanted to.
Tomorrow, (after I watch Bionicle: Mask of Light) I will watch the first two episodes: Friendship is Magic, parts 1 & 2. After everything I had already read on the MLP wiki months ago, the only things I'm still missing out on is the music and what their voices sound like. After that, I will keep up with Equstria Daily and watch one episode per day on their countdown. By this time tomorrow, I will finally be able to truly call myself a brony.
