The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

Anna turned in the direction of Mr. Threehorn when she heard him talk.  Just then, a terrible feeling came over her.  Not a feeling of anger, but rather feelings of embarrassment and regret as she watched Mr. Threehorn approach the group with a limp.  It hurt Anna to see such a proud and regal figure look defeated, or at least that was how she perceived him to feel.  Anna knew what she had to do, even though she knew Mr. Threehorn was not the easiest dinosaur to approach.  As she slowly headed over to Mr. Threehorn, Anna felt as though she would pass out from being so nervous.  From the moment she had met Mr. Threehorn, Anna wanted to be accepted by him, and just as he had started to accept her, she screwed it up.  Knowing she probably publically humiliated Mr. Threehorn was more painful than her injured arm.  Once she reached Mr. Threehorn, Anna remained silent for a few moments before she spoke up as best as she could at the time.  She was standing so he could see her, but she looked down and avoided eye contact out of shame.

"I'm not here to fight, and I'm not lookin' to cause trouble," Anna whispered.  "I just wanted say I'm sorry for my part in what happened earlier.  Even though my intention was to protect one of my friends, I still let my emotions get the best of me, and I truly regret that.  The things I said were mean and hurtful, and I don't really believe any of those bad things I said about ya.  I just want ya to know I'm very sorry about my actions, and that I really hope I did not cause any harm to ya."  Anna was starting to cry by that point as she attempted to keep her injured arm out of Mr. Threehorn's view.  She knew he would notice it eventually, but she did not want him to feel any worse that he probably did.

Mr. Three Horn turned to see Anna and saw her arm. He sighed out of frustration at himself and pity for her. He grunted and kept his proud, stern glare at her.

"That's brave of you, to apologize to me like this. And I apologize for hurting you, ehhh I see I caused quite a bit of damage on your arm...and I apologize for hurting your friend. Speaking of which where is that rainbow face?"

"I think Longtail went up to get a peek and see if he could see them on the other side." Grandpa Longneck said.

Longtail continued to look for Thomas and Sam still having no luck and knowing the others in the valley would want to know if any progress was being made. He tried calling out once more, "Thomas! Sam! I know you two can hear me...now answer me!!!" After several more moments of silence Longtail turned around and flapped back over the valley wall and lowered himself close enough to the others but enough to keep himself in the air. "I still don't see them, but I'll keep looking."

Grandma Longneck sighed. "Well then please keep looking, we need to make sure they are okay."

Rick continued to look around and was surprised to see Anna and Mr.Threehorn exchanging apologies. He then turned to face Longtail and replied, "Okay, just be careful...the rain can make you sick."

Pangaea had been silent for several minutes now, as he stared in shock at the barricade of boulders filling what had formerly been a gap in the Great Wall. Through the rain, he could see a single, scarred, two-fingered hand with one red talon, protruding from between the rocks. Surveying the scene and putting the pieces together in his head, he realized that part of the wall adjacent to the gap had collapsed to form the blockade, and Red Claw had been buried underneath.

The first thought that came to Pangaea’s mind was the question of whether Red Claw was dead. Part of him hoped not. Though he would much rather Red Claw die by the hands of any of the Great Valleyers or GOF members than vice versa, he felt saddened by the prospect of the great predator’s unexpected demise. He had actually hoped to have seen Red Claw for himself, just to get a look at a full-grown, living Tyrannosaurus rex. Now it appeared that he had missed that chance.

On the other hand, Pangaea considered, Red Claw might not be dead. If he was anything like the other sharpteeth in the Land Before Time series, he was stupefyingly tough. Perhaps he was still alive under there, merely unconscious. But if that were true, then he could conceivably spring to life at any time, and Pangaea didn’t feel brave enough to risk taking a pulse.

Red Claw, unconsious, just laid there and started to have visions. Visions that would have made any sharptooth angry, afraid, and defenseless. His teeth were loosened, he could no longer hear, his nose was chopped off.

Suddenly there was a rumble, and slowly Red Claw emerged from the rocks. He roared to the sky and he swayed from one side to the other, having more rocks fall on the ground. He shook the dust off him and roared at the valley, telling them that he would be back soon. Very soon. He hardly missed Screech, Noname, and Sam.

The rocks were plopped in place, but it was low enough for Noname and Sam to climb over.

"Perhaps they left the area to try to find a way in." Mim said.

"Or a cave to rest in perhaps.   I hope they are ok and not hurt." Grandpa Longneck said.

"Oh, it's not that bad, but I accept your apology nonetheless," Anna replied to Mr. Threehorn's comment about her arm.  Even though she was being honest, Anna still did not want him to feel any worse than he probably felt.  She then brought her attention to what the newcomers had helped the valley residents accomplish.

"So...whadaya think about the new wall?  Does it look strong enough?" she asked.

Mr. Three Horn shook his head, "It's pathetic...well, it looks like it can be fixed up a bit though..."

So Mr. Three Horn ran to where the very small gap was and he yelled, "C'mon, whoever is out there, get back in here, the hole is large enough for you to come through!"

Amy felt drenched under the rain, so she went under a tree, next to Pangea. She smiled and asked, "You healed Mr. Three Horn didn't you? That was nice of you. Though pretty risky..."

Little Foot sighed. He looked up at his grandmother and asked, "Can we go now Grandma?"

Chronicler struggled to find his way back to the cave, especially considering the weather. Eventually, he got tired and had to stop and catch his breath. He held onto a tree sapling for support. He then noticed Ruby had caught up to him. "Okay, I'll admit it, I'm lost," said Chronicler.

"I guess some help would be helpful for you," said Ruby. "I can show you the way back to the cave."

"That would be good. Just give me a minute, alright? I'm tired, and this weather is only making things worse." Chronicler then looked at the sapling he was holding on to and noticed something odd about it. He noticed the trunk was strangely smooth. He also noticed that many more such saplings were growing very close together. Then, thanks to the brief illumination from a flash of lightning, he realized that these were not saplings, but full-grown bamboo plants. In fact, it was a small forest of them. He hadn't noticed this sooner because it was so dark, due to the rainy weather.

Chronicler actually smiled at seeing this. "Hey Ruby, do you think you can remember how to get back to this place? I think I've found what I had asked Claw to find."

"So this is what you call 'bamboo'? Yes, I think I can remember how to get here from where we live. So does this mean Claw does not have to do what you asked him to do?"

"Yeah, but don't worry. I'll still keep my end of the deal and give him that tool I promised him. Now can you take me back to the cave, because I'd really like to get out of this bad weather."

Ruby agreed and began leading Chronicler back to her cave.

"I have a right to collect anything I want. It's just junk anyway."

Pangaea shrugged sheepishly. “Well, it didn’t look like anyone else was helping him, though, more likely, I was the only one crazy enough to try it,” he cracked. “I also thought I’d try to convince him to be a little more open-minded while I was at it. Dunno if I succeeded any.”

Amy was still smiling and she looked at her feet a bit, then she said, "Well, I saw Mr. Three Horn and Anna talking a minute ago, so he probably is better then he ever was this morning."

Rebecca was with her nephew and said, "Petrie, lets get out of the rain." She then went up to Pterano and said, "Pterano, once those two newcomers come back to the valley, would you like to come with me and Petrie and stay in the cave until the rain stops?" She was hoping he would say yes, since it was heavy rain, but knowing Pterano, he wasn't the most humble flyer around, he usually wanted to show how strong and smart he was. But maybe he changed a bit.

Red Claw stomped away and roared out in the rain in madness and rage. He sat himself under the trees to wait for his comrades. There was absolutely nothing on his mind but shame and revenge.

"I wonder if they are even near the other side or have gone elsewhere." Grandpa Longneck said.

"I do hope they are both safe, wherever they are." Mim said.
