The Gang of Five
Howdy, everyone!

As you know, the forum has been fighting spammers and bots for years. We have seen our fair share of "Custom Kitchens UK", scammy Internet hosting companies, and bots trying to send us to a business's homepage. But after fighting the tidal wave of spam for so many years, the admins had a persistent thought: what if the spammers are right? Not in terms of posting nonsense links and trying to scam our users, but in trying to make money through our unique platform?

Well, thanks to the helpful counsel of Taunt, we have finally decided to move the forum in a new direction. Please see his important post on the matter in this topic

"Maybe," Chomper answered with visible hesitance "But if we wait with searching, something bad may happen to Claw, especially if he was chased by other fastbiter, or Sky Water may fall from the sky and it will be very hard to follow the trail..."

He looked in direction Claw had run earlier and turned back to Ruby, "I think we should go look for him now. Maybe others will help us?"

"We follow and chase him?" Petrie asked.

----------

"He may get into trouble." Mim said.

-------

Grandpa Longneck looked around at some around him, "I can help to carry some back to the Great Valley.  Then they can be treated and rest there." he said.

Flapper limped in, using a stuck as a crude cane.   He had wounds from claws and some bites, "Going back to the great Valley sounds like a good idea to me." He said.

Mr. Three Horn stood there solemnly for a few moments until he proclaimed, once the singing and sounds stopped, "Everyone, we should leave here, find shelter at home."

Everyone else nodded their heads in agreement and they started to go off and leave the scene. Mr. Three Horn came to his family and nuzzled his mate and daughter.

"Let's go home." He stated softly.

Tria nodded and nudged her daughter. "Let's go home dear."
-------------
Some fastbiters left as well with their own food and to keep themselves dry. Before the female fastbiter went along with them, she walked towards Screech, not without growling at Pangaea and Longtail, but she gently nudged Screech to hopefully wake him up.
----------
Amy stood frozen as she took this scene in and heard all of these songs. Thrashing guilt came upon her like waves crashing against a rock. However, she felt a sudden brush against her. She turned to see an igonadon looking at her with sad eyes, "Excuse me-I-I do not know you, but are you the flyer girl that blinded Red Claw?"

Amy felt a chill up her spine and her blood went from her face to her feet. At first she was frozen solid, like the rain froze her up into an isicle. However, to her relief, a familiar voice came from behind her.

"Amy? Are you okay?" Amy turned around and had a relieved smile on her face.

"Yeah...what about you?" She asked the older flyer.

He in return smiled and he stated, "Sore, but I think I can make it the way back-" But as he said this, he fell from his feet dived head first into the mud. Amy ran to his aid and tried to help him up.

The igonadon also came next to them and offered, "I'll carry him on my back and he won't have to risk any more injury."

Pterano wanted to protest, but Amy was already nudging him as the kind igonadon lowered himself to have Pterano on his back.

"Thank you sir." Amy stated to the igonadon. He smiled back and simply said, "Call me Iggy." At this, he walked a little ways and looked back, wondering if maybe the younger flyer needed a lift, but Amy shook her head and Iggy went on his way.
-------------
Rebecca overheard Petrie and stated, "Oh no! You are NOT going anywhere young man! Because I want to help find him. You are going back to the valley and that's final!" She commanded.

Longtail heard the songs both Anna and Rob sang, and for a moment the young flyer was heartbroken. He quietly stepped over to Rob and hugged him tightly around his newly formed leg as he began to cry. Longtail then looked up at Rob's face, "T-that song... reminded me... of my mother. Thank you." he said with sorrow, and joy in his voice.

Rick as well, had a tear in his eye, as Amazing Grace was one of his favorite childhood songs. "That was nice Rob. A good song to mourn our losses with."

Cyrix stepped closer, placing a hand on Robs back and simply smiled.

Spike let a lone tear slid down his face as he listened to Anna's song. He then gently nuzzled Ducky with a sad smile.

Cera silently nodded in agreement before she walked with her father and Tria.  Meanwhile, Anna glanced at her surroundings once more.

"Shouldn't...we bury them?" Anna asked Ducky in a whisper.

"What is that?" Ducky asked, obviously confused.

"Oh, I'm sorry.  I keep forgetting I'm not in my world anymore.  If I may ask...what do y'all do with the dead?" Anna whispered again.

"I do not know exactly, but Mama told me once that the dead become food for someone else, yep yep yep.  Those who die in the Mysterious Beyond, that is," Ducky explained with a grossed-out expression.

"Oh, I get it.  Okay, never mind what I had asked before.  Cera's father is right.  It's a good idea we head back now," Anna said.  Ducky climbed up onto her brother's back, and Anna walked to the right of Spike and Ducky.

It was a bit strange the way Longtail was showing compassion towards Rob. He knew just as well as anybody the flyer's hatred for sharpteeth, and yet he didn't see him as an enemy in his new fastbiter form. Rob didn't know whether he should feel happy or tense, but either way it felt warm and soothing. "Your welcome, Longtail," Rob replied. Feeling everybody's comfort was filling him with great hope, yet at the same time he still couldn't help but feel wary about the herd's viewpoint towards him, especially Mr. Threehorn. It didn't really matter at this point though, as Rob noticed the herd was starting to return to the Great Valley. "We should probably follow the others back to the valley."

"It's about time," Zaine sighed with relief. "The sooner we leave this place the better."

"No argument there," Littlefoot agreed. "I'm just glad that nothing terrible happened." He then looked at Rob. "Well, I mean nobody got hurt."

Rob then looked towards Anna. She, Ducky, and Cera seemed like they were all safe, which made him feel much better. He wanted to say hi to them, but at the same time they were near Mr. Threehorn, and he didn't want to do anything that would get him alarmed. Nevertheless, he needed to make sure they were okay. He walked up to them, trying his best not to seem intimidating in his new form. "Are you okay Anna? That was a really intense fight."

Littlefoot and Zaine followed behind so they could talk to Cera and Ducky. Littlefoot approached Cera. "Hey Cera, do you think your dad is going to hold a grudge against Rob? I mean sure he's now a fastbiter, but it's not like he's dangerous or anything."

Grandpa Longneck waited to leave till some injured were put on his back so he could carry them back.  Then he headed back towards the Great Valley.  Mim walked along heading back to the great valley also.  Flapper had been put on Grandpa Longneck's back due to the bites and scratches he had.

---

"Me no can no go anywhere and go to Great Valley." Petrie said, not seeing how he could be in 2 places at once.  "Maybe if me had wishing stone me could no go anywhere and go to great valley at same time."

"I don't think anyone is willing to help us right now," replied Ruby to Chomper, sadly. "It seems everyone wants to go home instead of staying here any longer." Ruby sighed. "Maybe you could ask someone if they might be willing to help you find Claw. I think I should go with Chronicler, since he is already ahead of everyone else." Ruby then followed the others, hoping to find Chronicler.

"Yeah, I'm fine thanks.  That was a pretty intense fight, and I'm glad there weren't too many casualties.  How 'bout yourself?  There must be some kind of a treatment to reverse your transformation, and I hope we can find it," Anna replied to Rob.

--------------------

"I don't know, Littlefoot.  I hope he is okay with Rob like he is with Chomper," Cera whispered to her friend.

Chomper looked after Ruby, then he turned to Petrie's mom, "Thank you for helping me, Mrs Flyer. My sniffer's telling me that Claw run that way." He pointed in the right direction, then started walking along the scent's trail...

Petrie's mom nodded and replied, "Anytime."

Then she used her wing to sheild her son then responded to him. "I just want you to be safe in the valley. The battle is over, so PLEASE mind your mother and go with the others to the valley. Please you need to promise me that you will do that."

Mr. Three Horn was at first startled by Rob's appearance, but saw that Anna was quite calm. He was too tired to waste any energy with harmless individuals, so he just rolled his eyes and thought,

Heh, just what we need, more weirdos.

"Let's go family." He gave an experated sigh as he said this.
----------
Amy felt cold, drenched and wet. She sneezed and decided to find some of her friends. She looked around and then saw Screech lying motionless with a fast biter gently trying to wake him up.

Beside them she saw a flyer whom she forgot the name to and Pangaea. She decided to go near them and let her friends know that she was back.

"Um-hi Pangaea, hi uh-" She was clearly uncomfortable and not sure how these two, especially Pangaea were going to react.

Rebecca nodded, "Good, I'll be back before you know it." She nuzzled her son and then flew around Chomper looking overhead to see where the human-fastbiter could be in this beyond.
----------
Tria looked to Anna and the others and said, "You should come with us, to get out of this rain..."

She nudged Cera forward and followed her mate and few other dinosaurs to the Great Valley. Numbers of dinosaurs came back to the valley. They were aching, tired, filled with grief, but they were happy that the fastbiters were retreating and everything was going to go to peace eventually.

The igonodon trotted with Pterano upon his back. Pterano was starting to feel quezy and wanted to walk, but when he felt too sore and exhausted to attempt at it.

I hope my sister, Petrie and the other kids are okay.

Then he thought over the new flyer girl, Amy. He found her to be a very odd dinosaur. Leaving the valley with him and then moving off, but there was one thing he admired about the younger dinosaur.

She doesn't have any fear, a lot of heart.
--------
Red Claw tried to move, but again, he had failures to do so and he kept roaring and snapping at others that came near. He was so embarrassed, ashamed, and terrified that these....human dinosaurs would even try to mess with them.

That little brat I can't get with those dinosaurs surrounding her like that. Unless I can somehow get them away from her, she could be all alone and finally...I will have peace.

With this in mind, he made another roar, but finally was able to get the rock off him. He roared at any nearby plant eaters that he will be back, and that next time, they won't even have a chance of fighting back.

He limped away and called to Screech and Thud, but the female fastbiter that he spoke with earlier responded brashly, "They are knocked out! They need to be taken out of unconsiousness first."

Red Claw snorted in irritation and roared into the ears of Thud and Screech loudly.

"WAKE UP YOU LAZY PACKS OF FLESH!"

(OOC: Rat_lady7: I was thinking that Screech and Thud would just remain unconscious until the next day of the RP.)

Pangaea didn't respond to Amy. He was distracted; staring in horror at the bodies of the Great Valley dinosaurs that had been killed in the fight. “Oh no…” he groaned under his breath, “oh no, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no!” His head drooped, and he covered his face with his hands. It wasn’t the sight of the carnage that upset him; rather, he was wracked with guiltóworse than any he had ever felt beforeóover the fact that those dinosaurs would not have died if they had not left the valley to rescue him. “This is all my fault,” he lamented. “All my fault. Stupid, stupid, stupid!” He began pounding himself on the forehead with his fists, inwardly cursing himself over and over again. Pangaea kept his voice down throughout this entire tirade, too shy and too ashamed to draw attention to himself. Inside, however, he was experiencing an emotional explosion. It would have been better if I were dead…I wish I wereóNo, I shouldn’t say that; if I died now then they would have all died for nothing.

"Thanks Mrs. Threehorn, but I should make sure Ducky and Spike get home okay," Anna replied.

"Actually, it is okay if we go with you, yep yep yep," Ducky spoke up.

"Are ya sure?  Your mother must be worried," Anna replied.

"True, but when skywater comes down she likes it when we find shelter with friends instead.  She says it is better for us to not be cold and wet for long, yep yep yep," Ducky replied.

"She's right," Anna said before she brought her attention to Tria.  "Okay, we'll come along."

-------------------------

Meanwhile, Tricia was in her nest sleeping deeply.  She had eventually returned home after wearing herself out from adventuring around the valley.

Having left before everyone else did, Chronicler was the first of the group to reach the Great Valley. He sighed as he looked out across the landscape. He wanted to head back to the cave that now served as his home, but he still didn't know exactly where it was. "I wish I had a map of this place," he muttered.

"What's a map?"

Chronicler looked back and saw that Ruby had asked that question. He scoffed and said, "Why am I not so surprised to see you following me, yet again?"

"I... I don't know," admitted Ruby. Even she had trouble understanding why she felt like she always had to help Chronicler.

"Well, are you going to show me the way back home?"

"Oh! Yes, I'll show you the way back, show you the way back I will." They then began heading into the valley. "So what is a map? You said you wish you had one."

"I said it because I don't want to have to rely on you to tell me where to go. A map is basically a drawing of what an area, like the Great Valley, would look like from really high up."

"So a map is something to look at to help you figure out where certain places are?"

"Exactly. I'd like to say that I'm rather good with maps, so, if a lot of people are willing to help, I might be able to draw a map of the Great Valley with a reasonable level of accuracy."

"I would definitely like to see such a map if you are able to make such a map."

"I have a right to collect anything I want. It's just junk anyway."

Mr. Three Horn and Tria were walking away from the area with their daughter not too far behind. The rest of the dinosaurs were already home, nestling in their dens and nests to relieve themselves of the rain.

Mr. Three Horn thought over today and the events that took place. He couldn't believe that just one newcomer, or rather one unusual looking newcomer no one knew would be at the basis of a plan and how many lives were lost. He wondered if the lives lost were even worth it. He snorted and remembered the siamese colored flyer that was the primary source of Red Claw's revenge for being blinded. He shook his head and realized how many lives were lost.
--------
Amy stood frozen when she observed Pangaea and the surroundings. She longed to comfort him somehow, but she wasn't sure what else to do.

She shook her head and saw that the others were leaving. She decided to stay with Pangaea and Longtail, she hoped to try to clear things up and cheer him up.
--------
Red Claw, frustrated threw his head back and howled an unearthly cry, then he ran off, blindly into the darkness, into madness.

The female fastbiter called to her group and they on her signal followed her.

Amy hid when Red Claw charged past her and her friends and she was stock still.

As Anna's group continued to walk in silence, she heard a familiar voice call out.

"Ducky?!  Spike?!  Are you kids around here?!" she heard Mrs. Swimmer call from the direction of some nearby woods.

"That is Mama!  It is, it is!" Ducky squeaked.

"Sounds like she's lookin' for y'all.  A'ight, we'll go on ahead to your nest then," Anna said as she detoured the children in the direction of Mrs. Swimmer's voice.  As she did that, Anna looked back at Mr. Threehorn.

I don't think he's in the mood to be troubled by guests anyway, Anna thought to herself.

"Mama!" Ducky called out.

"Ducky?!  Is that you?!" Mrs. Swimmer called back.

"Yes it is, and I have Spike and Anna with me, yep yep yep!" Ducky replied just before they finally ran into Mrs. Swimmer.

"My babies!" Mrs. Swimmer said as she scooped up Ducky and embraced her before she bent down and embraced Spike.  "Where have you two been?  You followed the grownups into the Mysterious Beyond, didn't you?  How many times do I have to say to not do that?"

"It's okay, M'am," Anna spoke up.  "I mean, sure they didn't listen, but I'm glad of that.  I don't think my friends and I would be alive if it weren't for the children helpin' us out."

"That's true, I guess.  The children are much smarter and braver than they appear.  And thank you so much for bringing them back safely," Mrs. Swimmer replied before she embraced Anna.

"Uh...sure, no problem," Anna replied, feeling a little awkward at first.

"Did you all get your friend back safely?" Mrs. Swimmer asked.

"Yeah, but not without a price unfortunately," Anna replied.  When asked about who had perished, Anna decribed the lost dinosaurs to Mrs. Swimmer.  She knew some of them but none were close friends, yet she still felt sad for those who had been lost.

"I'm very sorry to hear that, but unfortunately this happens often during searches.  Well, it's getting late.  Come on, kids.  It's time to get back to the nest and your siblings," Mrs. Swimmer said.  "You're more than welcome to join us, Anna."

"Thanks.  I appreciate it," Anna replied gratefully as the group walked toward the nest.  Upon arrival, Ducky and Spike's siblings all got excited and were happy to see their brother and sister.  It surprised Anna when all the little swimmers were happy to see her as well.

"Aww, y'all are such sweet lil' cuties," Anna chuckled as she gently patted each little swimmer on the back.

"Okay, kids.  Time to go to sleep," Mrs. Swimmer said before the children all cured up in their nest.  As Mrs. Swimmer took her place near the children, Anna found the same spot she had found earlier and curled up.  She did her best to fall asleep but was unable to due to recent events.

Petrie flew into the air to catch up to where his friends were so he could go with them, even if they were going to go somewhere scary.  He'd rather be with them then fly back home alone.

---

Flapper traveled on Grandpa Longneck's back with Mim going along beside him.

"I'll be glad to get back home." Grandpa Longneck said.
